IBM System Storage N Series

The IBM System Storage N series products are designed to provide network attached storage for storage environments where customers have a critical need for storage mission critical data, nearline storage and WORM protected data in high availability, high capacity and highly secure environments. All N series systems utilise a single operating system across the entire platform.

A combination of multiple advanced function software features provide one of the industries most versatile storage platforms solutions ranging from comprehensive system management, storage management, onboard an outboard copy services, virtualisation technologies and disaster recovery and backup solutions. The N series products provide a wide-range of network attachment capabilities to a broad ranges of host and client systems using a multitude of network access protocols including file system protocols (CIFS, NFS, HTTP, FTP) and block I/O protocols including iSCSI and FCP.

In addition, the N series portfolio of products offer ease-of-use tools that help customers manage database environments like Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL, IBM DB2 and Oracle. Patented RAID-DP helps ensure the highest availability and recovery capabilities while using inexpensive SATA disk drive technology.
